5.0 out of 5 stars This tub saved my back!, February 13, 2010

This review is from: Puj Tub - The Soft, Foldable Baby Bath Tub, White (Baby Product)
First of all, I've never cared enough about a product to take time out of my busy schedule in order to write a review, so this should tell you how much I truly love this product. I absolutely love this tub! I went through three infant tubs - a whale and two meshy type things that went in the sink, and none of those worked for me. It hurt so bad to lean over the tub or in the floor to try to bathe my baby in the whale. In the meantime, it was hard to move him around, get him clean, and rinse him as well because I was having to strain. The whale tub was too tall to put on a counter or an island. When I tried the meshy type things in the sink, these didn't keep him warm at all and he hated them! You couldn't get him clean on those at all. Bath time wasn't fun because I was uncomfortable, he was chilly, and he couldn't play in the water.

I saw an ad on facebook for this tub and I was extremely skeptical because my sink wasn't truly round. It's sort of square at the top... Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars Requires a specific sink size/type, April 13, 2010

This review is from: Puj Tub - The Soft, Foldable Baby Bath Tub, White (Baby Product)
This tub seems like a great idea for young infants, however, it does not work with the sinks in our home.

We have fairly standard bathroom sinks in our townhome (4' countertop with an oval sink that slopes from 4.5" in the front to 5.5" deep in the back). Unfortunately, the Puj Tub did not sit deep enough in the sink to work properly. Our kitchen sink is 6.5" deep, which seemed to be the right depth, but the tub seems to need an oval-shaped sink for support.

5.0 out of 5 stars perfect solution to bathing baby with older child in bathtub, February 13, 2010

This review is from: Puj Tub - The Soft, Foldable Baby Bath Tub, White (Baby Product)
I was a little skeptical at first that this would actually work in my sink, which is small, but this fits with no problem!! it is light weight, flexible and soft, which molds easily into your sink. You can also adjust it so that baby is more upright or lays back. It IS easy to use with just one hand which is essential. I love that I can bathe my baby while my toddler is in the bath tub. The Puj also allows me to bathe baby with two hands. He is safe and comfortable in the Puj and the only time I feel I have to hold on to him is when I rinse the shampoo out of his head. With the two other tubs I have used, I never felt comfortable letting go of him completely. The best thing of all is that my baby loves this tub and actually smiles!! I think because he knows I feel more comfortable which relaxes him. Previously, he cried in whatever I tried to bathe him in! It's also nice because he is closer to me & higher up so that probably makes him more relaxed as well. The only problem is... Read more

Fisher-Price Interactive Baby Grand Piano

Product Description

Little ones can rock out with their very own Baby Grand Piano! This pint-sized piano teaches numbers and colors, as well as exposes them to musical concepts like tempo, pitch and style. Baby is encouraged to play and learn with the eight light-up keys and four activities with four songs led by a dancing character and "magic" music book. Features three modes: Learning, Musical Fun and Imagination. Requires 3 "C" batteries (not included). Measures 19" x 17" x 17". Adult assembly required.

Editorial Review

There’s nothing like watching small children fall in love with music. This baby grand will play Cupid to a toddler’s relationship to music. Just the right size for little fingers, with bright colors, lights, and familiar songs and learning concepts; kids will need no introduction before getting in there and starting to tickle those ivories! Three modes of play encourage children to enjoy music, learn basic concepts (alphabet, counting, opposites, etc.), or just play notes and chords on the eight-key keyboard. A plastic songbook (built into the piano) uses numerals on musical notation to teach aspiring musicians the correlation between the sounds they hear, the notes on the page, and the keys on the keyboard. Slides and buttons and dials can be manipulated to adjust tempo, pitch, and style, while a metronome keeps time. And a friendly maestro monster looms over the piano, dancing as your artiste creates composes her or his opuses. The music, as with so many children’s toys, is moderately unpleasant—nursery rhymes meet lounge jazz—but not the worst you’ll ever hear. And the joy toddlers will get out of playing their own melodies, as well as the potential for learning, far outweighs the burden of listening to cheesy tunes. Or you can just keep it in note-playing mode, and skip the pre-recorded tunes altogether! Three "C" batteries required (not included). Some adult assembly is required. --Emilie Coulter

4.0 out of 5 stars We like it....but stay within hands reach with younger babies, November 11, 2006
By
Heather (Iowa, United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fisher-Price Interactive Baby Grand Piano (Toy)
My daughter just received this baby grand piano from her grandparents as a baptism present. She is 10 months old and really seems to like it. The piano does so many things and I forsee her having a lot of fun with it and am happy that I suggested it for a present. The reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is that my daughter, who is just learning to stand and cruise, stood up with the piano and she must of put to much weight towards the middle of the piano, while I was reaching for the camera, because the piano tobbled end over end with her following it. The piano started to do the same thing right after that when she tried to stand. She wasn't hurt, more scared then anything, but I would have thought it would be sturdy enough to handle her putting a little weight in the middle of it. I still recommend the piano, but stay within hands reach if your baby can't walk and keep themselves fairly steady on their own.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pinches hands, October 20, 2006
By
Jorja Girl (San Marcos, CA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fisher-Price Interactive Baby Grand Piano (Toy)
We got this toy as a gift for my daughter's first birthday. The piano is great except for one thing. Little hands get stuck in the slot the sun moves in. The sun moves from side to side during certain songs, and my daughter and her friends love to grab at it when it starts doing this. Inevitably, someone's hand always gets pinched and makes them start crying/screaming. If Fisher Price ever redesigns this toy, I would recommend removing the sun from the toy or making it where it's immobile. I know this will probably not make the toy as fun, but safety comes first in my book. I give it three stars because of this hazard.

5.0 out of 5 stars will entertain and teach for years, February 7, 2008
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Fisher-Price Interactive Baby Grand Piano (Toy)
This is one of the best toys I've ever seen. I don't care for most of the newfangled plastic, electronic toys...most of them are junk. This one, however, is well-designed and will entertain a baby as well as even a 5 or 6 year old, in my opinion. I used to teach music at the elementary school level, and I think my kindergarteners and first-graders would have loved it.

The controls are all easy enough to operate that even a 9-month-old (the suggested earliest age) can operate them easily...none of them require too much strength or dexterity, for instance.

It teaches real musical concepts (high vs low, fast vs slow, etc) and has an actual, properly-working piano keyboard. The keys work like a real piano's does; if I press down 2 or 3 or 4 keys, they will all sound together, and the sound quality is like an actual piano, not a buzzy toy. There are so many different modes (there are three main modes, but when you turn the music "page" it brings up different... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Smells great!, October 6, 2010
This review is from: Method Baby Squeaky Green Hair and Body Wash 8-ounce Bottles (Pack of 6) (Health and Beauty)
I love this! I'm not allergic to it, which was a very happy surprise when I got it first as a baby shower gift. Works great on my son's hair and body, we've been using it since he was born and he's almost 2 now. He suffers from excema, and we've tried many many different products designed for excema and/or sensitive skin (shampoos, body washes, lotions), and have always come back to this line of Method products. The pump is a nice feature instead of having to pour the shampoo out, although the giant green cap usually turns into a cup for my son to scoop the bathwater with. Lots of fun for him, grief for me over drinking the bathwater.

Have been using this since boys were born- 18 months ago. Tried other products also, but other brands dried out skin or gave them rashes (or had strong smell). This stuff has a very light, pleasant smell and seems to do a good job of getting the chlorine smell out of their skin after swimming lessons. Also seems to do a great job with the hair- not oily or dry and it washes out easily. The cup cap is a bonus.... It makes a great bath toy and helps with washing out the soap.

Love this baby wash! It smells wonderful (kinda marshmallowy) and is truly tear free (I've rinsed it right through my wiggly baby's eyes more than once). The cap/cup is just right for rinsing and my little girlbaby loves to play with it while I wash her.
