This fits well around you without leaving gaps. Your baby will snuggle close to you and you can adjust it when baby gets older so that you can elevate the baby, give a bit more head up or however she prefers to nurse. The pillow snuggles right in and around you. PERFECT for rocking chairs.But also to just for lap use, like on a couch or such. I have one for upstairs and one for downstairs. It moves right in as the pictures shows. The baby is NOT laying off the pillow, as shown in the pictures, unless you want her to. I love that it doesn't show stains. I have a pink one and the color is beautiful. Soft but not pastel. It never loses shape. Bounces right back or stays soft but in shape. As you can tell I am really happy and satisfied with it. Can recommend it. Note: it has no changing option. It is one peace and you can't take the cover off. LOVE the prodcut... When I put my baby on my lap, on the pillow, the pillow wanted to slip forward constantly. The baby kept falling between me and the pillow. I am a small person and it doesn't stay in place. I would have liked the Boppy pillow better, since it goes around your belly. I wish I hadn't gotten this pillow and can't return it as I got it before the baby came. Now I have to donate it, hope the next person finds it useful. Waste of money. I couldn't sleep with it because it just had too much! I couldn't maneuver it because it was just too filled and would always return to being fully straight. If I tucked it under my legs the head part would come out and when I tried to have it under my head it was a real struggle to keep it between my legs! The middle was also bigger then the rest which made it impossible for me to rest my tummy against comfortably. I was really hoping to find a body pillow for my pregnancy support but ended up just using a regular pillow. It is great when you sit with it behind you in bed, which will come in handy when I am feeding the new baby. You can tie the two ends together which I thought would be helpful but I wont be able to use it to feed the baby because there is always a space between the two arms where you tie it. I just got myself a boppy pillow to rest the baby against and will use this as my back... It puts the baby up higher so you don't have to bend over. He's lying on an angle, so better for him to digest as well. This is SOOO much better than the Boppy. I love it! The boppy, my breast friend, and a quite expensive organic nursing pillow. The Gia tops them all. The main problem I had with the nursing pillows prior to the Gia was that I had to stuff a pillow under her head in order to not have to hold her up. And then when I switched breasts, I would have to resituate the pillow under the other side all while she was screaming her little head off in anticipation to finish her meal. All you have to do with the Gia is flip it around. So easy. We also used it on the floor for her when she was not sitting up on her own and now she just lounges on it. Can't say enough good things about this pillow. This review is from: Dr. Brown's Gia Nursing Pillow (Baby Product) This is pretty expensive for a nursing pillow, but its so worth it! I have had the Boppy for my 1st child and it was okay. I always felt it was a bit flat and didn't really offer a full potential of support as it could have. This time around I planned to exclusively nurse (no bottles yet!) I needed to get myself everything I needed to make the process as comfortable as possible. I'm so glad I found this pillow. It truely is a step above the boppy! It is made of much better quality, is way more plush and throughtfully so. For expample, the plush starts waning towards the pointy part to accomodate the growing child's larger head/frame. The covers you can purchase for it are also really lovely and again much better thicker quality then the boppy. I highly recommend this item and hope people skip the boppy and go for this... as now I'm stuck with 3 boppy's that were $40 each and utterly useless now....
