Things I like about this product are:1) Its size - I could easily fit in an armed chair and nurse. 2) Its portability, it is very lightweight (much lighter than my boppy) and the handle makes it really easy to carry which is awesome for new tired, moms. 3) The support it gives my baby while nursing. 4) The fact that I don't have to bend or contort by body in order to nurse my baby. This nursing pillow kept him right in place and my back didn't hurt afterwards. 5) Great for bottle feeding and easy for my husband to use. 6) It is CUTE! My husband is also much more likely to use this pillow than the boppy - (I think perhaps it's a male pride thing?) Things to think about; My little one is seven months and a wiggler, so he is now almost too rambunctious and big for the pillow. But he's also almost too rambunctious for breast... My son, is now 8 months old and seems to be outgrowing it, although it is still handy to support his head when I am nursing. I would definitely recommend it to mothers with newborns. As opposed to some of the other nursing pillow I've tried, I thought it was well designed and comfortable, keeping the baby at the right position without being too bulky. I also like the easy carry handle. My one complaint would be that the cover was too thin. I thought that it looked a little cheap for the price. Also, if you have a baby that spits up a lot like mine, then it soaks through the cover and you are constantly having to wash the pillow too. I would prefer a thicker more water resistant covering. Overall, I enjoyed using the pillow and would use it again in the future and recommend it to others. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful Wonderful for newborns..., This review is from: JJ Cole Paisley Feeding and Nursing Pillow, Ash Woodland (Baby Product) For being a first time mother and breastfeeding, anything that helps assist with feeding is great. This pillow works great for newborns. I have both this and a boppy pillow and this pillow is lighter then the boppy. Plus, it doesn't sink when you put your baby on it, therefore you don't have to lean over as far when you are breastfeeding. However, my baby is now almost three months old and he wiggles a ton and this pillow doesn't hold him as well. He has pretty much out grown it. Wish is was a little bit bigger, but it worked great when he first born. Would definitely recommend, especially for first time mothers. It really helps keep my baby stable when trying to breastfeed. |
