I first came across the Bosom Baby pillow at a breastfeeding store, and had to have it!Reasons I love it: 1) I heard complaints that the Boppy isn't long/wide enough for larger women, and this is definitely longer/wider than the Boppy. 2)The cover that comes with it is velvety soft. 3)I can throw the pillow into the wash/dry when it gets soiled, and 'hang to dry ' the cover like the instructions note. 4)It is comfortable to use and could be helpful if you're nursing 24M+. 5)Makes a great pillow for your neck/head when watching tv! Maybe it doesn't have a pocket to keep your phone or burp cloth, but with the right cover, we're keeping it in our living room to use for ourselves (minus the nursing now). I followed her recommendation and bought the Luna Lullaby, and I AM SO GLAD I DID. Before my baby arrived, I decided to sleep with it the first night we got it since it was so soft and had just the perfect thickness. Being 8 months pregnant... it was the first good night's sleep I had in months! Since then, I've found my husband jack my pillow as soon as I get up, or he'll go for it first when he goes to take a nap. He wants one now too!The shape is perfect for a tossing and turning soon-to-be mom, and for actual nursing, the L-shape is SO Much better than the U-shape Boppy, especially if you've had a C-section and don't like things around your healing tummy. While I loved that pillow when my baby was a newborn, I didn't think about how it would no longer be used in the coming months. Once my baby no longer fit on that pillow, I was using my Snoogle in addition to regular pillows to prop up my arm. When my baby was already 3 months old, I learned about the Luna Lullaby Bosom Baby Nursing Pillow. I ordered another one (different print) for my parents house so I didn't have to pack mine with me when I travelled to another state. This is definitely worth the price and I know I will be able to use this for the coming months.I just wish the material of the pillow case/cover was a breathable cotton or bamboo. My arm and baby get warm/sweaty. |
