To put it on, just scrunch it up and stuff the pillow in it. I don't think it's difficult. I am glad I bought this cover. I even washed and tumble dried it (on low), and it still fits just fine. I love the lilac color and simple stitched design. The fabric is very high quality, thick cotton and well stitched. It fits perfectly on the Gia pillow and I have had no issues with putting it on or off. The bad does split slightly where the non zipper opening is, however I didn't find this to be much of a problem and honestly cannot really complain about it as I don't really see the big deal about it. The zippers on my old boppy would get warped where as I don't have to deal with those issues. I also find that as baby gets bigger, she flattens the opening split the more times she lays on it. So by the end of the day it is not even open anymore.
