You can even use it standing up or when you move around since the strap goes around your back. The strap also provides back & lumbar support. The pocket is a nice touch (you put your Lansinoh, cell phone, baby nail clippers, etc in it) The only possible downside is it isn't that easy to put on with one hand (for example, if you are already cradling the baby) If you're price sensitive look around, there are often significant discounts for older colors. If you've found this review helpful, please let me know! 22 of 22 people found the following review helpful Saved my life, By This review is from: My Brest Friend Deluxe Pillow, Blue (Baby Product) My baby came 5 weeks early and the process of breastfeeding hit me like a Mack truck, I didn't get to take the breastfeeding class I'd signed up for and had to learn everything in the hospital. This was horrible as I was on some pretty strong drugs and on no sleep, with scrunchy pillows that compressed down and didn't support my arms and back, leaving me incredibly sore after trying to breastfeed and pump. As soon as my husband brought the pillow to the hospital the process of learning to breastfeed improved a million percent - the pillow is soft enough to be comfortable for the baby but nice and firm. It stays in place, is easy to snap on and off, and Dad loves using it too. The pocket is nice and I love that the cover is washable. At first I wasn't sure what the little bumps on the one side were for so I just turned it over and used it that way, and it worked fine - since then I've figured out the little bumps are in the exact right position to hold up baby's head just a little... It is so secure and never slips or slides like the Boppy pillow or traditional pillows do. The cover comes off and can be machine washed, but does have to hang to dry, which is annoying, but still not enough for me to take a star away. MBF is also nice and firm, which I find a big advantage over the Boppy. I cannot recommend this pillow enough-I will be buying it for all of my friends who plan to breast feed! |
